let the domestic helpers
show you how to use $130
to feed a family of ten for one week.
now take them away.
Live and experience it, if you feel it, you know it !The just ended Olympic Games have seen the Chinese come under heavy criticism from the West about their Country, especially Beijing, being polluted. l am like excuse me, their country is polluted and so what ? The West don’t have polluted Countries and you are dying of all the major diseases in the world. How often do you hear Chinese people dying of Breast Cancers, Strokes, Alzheimer’s and numerous Brain diseases?
Go to China and speak to people over 100 years old and you will be amazed.
The Chinese people have the best foods in the World when it comes to assorted cuisines, spices and vegetables sauce preparations. You will find a Chinese restaurant in every Country.
The West will argue and say their food is junk, Westerners make faces when many things about The Chinese comes up, this and that, but what foods, specialties or cuisines have the West been able to produce, invent or exported?
You have the best of foods in the World with all the obese people, How many Chinese people you see suffering from obese? do the statistics for me.
These noodles and spices paste you are manufacturing today all came from China - Marco Polo didn’t embark on that silk road for nothing: he brought something home with him.
In addition, they have the best traditional herbal treatments coupled with acupuncture and hot ointments for aches. We should criticize pollution wherever it is found, but we ought to be sure that we balance it with praise as well.
This is a wonderful race - cigarette smoking there is just the biggest in the world, but in China when you are drinking or smoking, you have your natural antibiotic, the great garlic, by your side in every corner of the Provinces
They just chew garlic when they are smoking or driking, its pretty good, l think reason why they age..
Amazingly, l speak to many Westerners, l ask them, will you like to go to China or Have you been to China? Answers l get are just absured, first thing many will say, China is polluted or what the hell am l going to do there, then l will ask, have you been there ? Answer is no, l will ask again how come you know all what you are saying, answer will be is what l hear, is what you hear, your life is based on hearsay, my fellow friends l always hear this, hearsay means nothing, get the facts/evidence and dont believe all what people say.
l find it very eccentric, how many Westerners get lots of stuff locked up in their minds just upon hearing them
In this world, one's man's meat, will be another man's poison.
We shouldn't forget what we saw in China in the 80's, sick Chinese children dying and large scale poverty, The Chinese should be commended as one of the biggest Countries to bring lots of its citizens out of poverty. They have done tremendously well.
I wish Africans will learn from the Chinese and Africans stop giving excuses for keeping your fellow African men poor and blaming the white man for your woes, wars and poverty.
It's beats my mind, how the Chinese Population is bigger than that of the population of the whole African continent and still Africans go begging fthe Chinese for aid.
Simply as, one man having a family consisting 15 members, another man's family consisting 4 members, then family of 4 members go begging family of 15 members, geez wont family of 4 members, take a break, sit down, ask themselves, how is family of 15 making it so much that we with only 4 members can go beg them for food. Just common sense.
My advice is, those of you who despise the Chinese or are quick to say ugly things about them upon hearing about their Country, stop, learn a thing or two about them and their ways and live long.
A slip of the foot may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.
Be civil to all; sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none.
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.

Many of you live out there in the West but take life for granted, but life is all we have. We need to protect it and age gracefully. With death no one knows how it is, looks or seems: no one has died and come back to tell us how death is. That life should be fully cherished has always been my stance.
l tell many of my Western friends, especially Americans and Canadians, many a time when they travel outside their own country is when they begin to love or cherish their identity. Because then everything seems to flow so well for them; you see the joy everywhere when you show your passport; your embassies and various consulates will help at any given time; emergency numbers are listed in case you get into any trouble, to the extent of airlifting or evacuating citizens when situations are serious.
Not like some of us. Our passports aren’t respected then when we traveling and visit our own embassies, like that feeling, when you see your country's flag flying on some kind of building and you feel like you are home but you get there and you find out that your own fellow citizens don’t even want you. You see you aren’t even welcomed. Rather they ask you what you are doing here, if you want or ask any help, embassy staff are like, did we ask you to come here, who asked you to come here. In Africa the ignorance is the only thing killing the many, its just so high and just the order of the day, embassy staff you are assigned to protect and help your fellow citizens.
In many other countries your systems are well defined and you have leaders who care.
Where some of us live, what we see and go through everyday many of you haven't an iota of an idea , nothing works like you all know, power and water goes off anytime unannounced for days sometimes weeks, no centralized cooking gas system, you have to carry these gas bottles or canisters to go buy gas before cooking, no medical coverage or insurance, no ambulances, no credit system, time is not respected, appointments become disappointments, no planning, services are rendered to customers disrespectfully and service providers act like they are doing customers favors. There's nothing like consumer protection and rights, leaders are only for their big stomachs and their families and always get away with crimes when they commit them, its a crime down here to arrest any leader when they break the laws.
All in all most of us are happy and respect life here, a piece of advice to you all is, if you live in the West, where most things will be defined as good, then cherish what you have, be proud of it, and please respect life, because what some of us see here everyday is just unimaginable to many of you, my mom always says this, many Westerns can't just live here, because the system alone stresses you coupled with your daily physical or emotional stress.
When l talk to many over there and l hear about sicknesses and diseases my heart hurts. Lets look at some things that might carry viruses and infection.
Have you thought of all the electrical appliance and wall switches and sockets, handles and locks in your home ?
Today l am initiating a three day Switch cleaning, we touch these on/off switches, handles and locks more than anything in our entire lives.
l don’t know if you will like to do this alone or with your family, whichever way.
If you live alone or with family, take a piece of cloth or an old towel, mix a good smelling detergent soapy water, soak cloth or towel in soapy water, squeeze soapy water out of cloth and start cleaning, clean the surfaces of every on/off button switch and wall sockets you see.
Mind you, l never said go put water on switch button on any appliance or wall sockets that has live electricity running through it, before you start cleaning turn any appliance or socket off, if you dont turn them off you do so at your own risk as its dangerous and can cause electrocution.
We touch these things everyday, we wash our hands often but still isn’t enough as there’s lots of chemicals being left on our fingers even after we wash our hands we still touch them.
We are cleaning every little on/off switch that you see in your home, your desktop including your keyboard and mouse (touch pad), laptop, printer, home theaters, dvd players, radios, microwave, washing machines, gas /electric stove, telephone dials, dryers, fridge, bread and sandwich toasters, remote controls, televisions be it flat screens, door/window locks and handles and even, the women, the locks on your fancy bags.

Trouble arrives in measures,
and we stack it up real high,
until we're convinced,
we have no reason to try.
If you feel defeated,
you're absolutely wrong,
for if you follow your dream,
you could never lose for long.
Ignore the minor set-backs
that pile up and trouble you,
or you will build a mountain,
out of the stones hurled at you.
The future holds great promise,
your destiny unknown,
but God is always helping,
and you're never alone.
Soar bravely toward your goal.
Let nothing darken the way.
You can change your tomorrow,
if you seek your dream today.

The severity of the water crisis in the country is affecting most Ghanaians including unborn babies, and this is 51 years after Ghana became independent.
As a result of the water shortage, the maternity section of the La Government Hospital has been compelled to use sachet water, popularly referred to as ‘pure water’ to deliver babies.
According to a TV3 news bulleting aired Thursday evening, March 6, 2008, the hospital has no other option than to buy sachet water for use in deliveries and other medical care.
On the news bulleting, nurses and other health workers were seen carefully opening the sachets and emptying the water into buckets for use. This activity apart from the cost element is also time consuming, especially in the light of the human resource shortages that most health facilities, including the La Government Hospital are facing. Scarce human resources, who are already overworked, are compelled by the situation to spend time emptying sachet water into buckets.
The hospital on Independence Day March 6, 2008, had six deliveries.
Unfortunately for these new born babies, the 51 years of independence has not delivered on the most essential of human needs, water, to make their entry into the world any smoother.

This emerged as he was cross-questioned during his trial for rape. He denies rape but admits to consensual sex, and said he was ready to marry his accuser.
( on top right hand corner Jacob Zuma, these are some of the people ruling us in africa, they are called big men eh, they are above the law and after such immoral behavior which is beyond human imagination in today's civilized world, you will find some western leaders awarding him pretty soon, mark my words, award for what ? for spreading HIV in the World, this is where i have problem with western leaders why award such a person with criminal and immoral conduct, better if shunned )
Remarks about HIV made by Mr Zuma in court
earlier this week have angered Aids educators.
(on the right hand corner in scarf The alleged rape victim has not been named outside court )
More than 5million South Africans have HIV - the highest number in the world.
Mr Zuma - previously seen as a possible future president - retains considerable popularity. His supporters see the charge as a political conspiracy.
Mr Zuma said in court on Wednesday he had left his bedroom after having sex with the woman and taken a shower because this "would minimise the risk of contracting the disease [HIV]".
He also said that he was prepared to marry the woman who accused him of rape, and that her aunts were discussing the possibility of marriage and a bride price as Zulu tradition dictates.
"Yes, if we had reached an agreement with that, I would have had my cows ready," Mr Zuma told the court, referring to "lobola": the traditional donation of animals by a husband to his bride's family.
Mr Zuma was being cross-examined by prosecutor Charin de Beer, after testifying in his defence on Monday and Tuesday.
Dismay
Aids educators now fear that while female-to-male HIV transmission is indeed less common than male-to-female transmission, Mr Zuma's explanation could be interpreted as meaning men are not at risk.
| |
Mr Zuma's testimony that he did not use a condom during the encounter, despite knowing the woman was HIV-positive, caused dismay among local Aids activists.
| |
Mr Zuma said he normally uses condoms, but did not have one available on the night of the alleged rape.
Having unprotected sex is thought to be the main way in which Aids is spread in Africa.
Mr Zuma, 63, insisted that the woman, 31, who may not be named, had initiated the sexual encounter.
Last week, the defence failed in an application to have the rape charge dropped.
The case has attracted huge publicity and court sessions have drawn demonstrations by groups both for and against Mr Zuma.
Mr Zuma - a veteran of the ANC struggle to end apartheid and a favourite of the party's left wing - was once thought a likely successor to Thabo Mbeki as South African president.
But the allegations of rape and corruption are thought by many to have ended that prospect.
A separate corruption trial is scheduled to begin in the Durban High Court in July. Mr Zuma denies the corruption charge.
Sue Goldstein of Soul City, an HIV education and information group puts it,
She says that while many South Africans remain in denial about Aids, equally worrying is "another group saying they can't control their sexuality, but believe that as men they are less at risk."
She points to "lack of leadership" as one of the problems hindering the struggle against HIV transmission in South Africa, and says it "boggles the mind" that the former leader of the Moral Regeneration Campaign could act in the manner that he admitted to in court.
The fact that Mr Zuma invoked traditional culture as an excuse for not using a condom is a matter of concern, says Dumisani Rabombo from the Men as Partners Programme of the organisation Engender.
"People may think there are African ways of having penetrative sex but with minimal risk of HIV. That doesn't exist," he says.
Mr Rabombo adds that in the experience of his work, older people are more likely than younger people to have faith in unreliable and dangerous traditional beliefs surrounding Aids.
"But you can't guarantee that some young people - especially those who are pro-Zuma - might not think themselves safe," he says.
Post from BBC.
Just as i was about to finish this blog something popped up.
How I See It, My Personal Opinion
Readers, this is what i mean when i talk about Ignorance and this is unbelievable and sounds like a fairy tale, but it's true, believe me, this is Africa, The Ignorance stems from the leadership ladder right down to the common man down the ladder, so what do you expect ?
The very people who are elected to lead society and set good examples in society are wrapped up in such grave immoral behavior.
Sometimes my friends in the West ask me about the Aids situation in Africa, i tell them actions of people here doesn't constituent any of the “conventional” model of attacking AIDS, what we call the ABC of AIDS or the ABC approach to HIV prevention.
A is (Abstain)
B is ( Be Faithful)
C is (Use condoms)
has little or no applicability in many African countries. Some Africans especially those in the South dont even believe the virus exist, terrible after all the education and scenes we see and hear on the electronic media, i sure believe even if scientists make the virus available to been seen still some human wont be scared.
l hear comments like these seldon when aids is being discuss on the streets here
"but we are all going to die anyways and so what" , tells you people are not ready to change their lifestyles and having multiple partners is seen as normal.
Some Zuma's generation in South Africa is less willing to change their behavior.
In any civilized country he would be sentenced for misconduct or gross indecent behavior, but he was acquitted, Africa for you and a street child steals food because he is hungry and gets a jail term of 5 years, l always say if i bring 100 good lawyers from the west to africa most of our jails be empty in few weeks, some of the cases that took most of the accused there are baseless and judges here are dictated to.
In africa people in high positions hardly gets sentenced because here justice is to the highest bidder, we don't have rule of law here we have what i term rule of leaders, they always buy their way, if any african leader or in high position be convicted unless Big Brother is behind it and will be at the International Court in the Hague, why should it be that way ? Can't we convict our own leaders ? Don't we elect them ourselves ? Can't we hold them accountable ?
Now Jacob Zuma has been elected the President of the African National Congress in South Africa likely to be the next president of south africa after Mbeki. We waiting to see what happens when he wins the seat, cant imagine, look at his behavior when he wasn't a president and chaired the National Aids council and Moral Regeneration Campaign.
