In order not to sound like a broken record, I have chosen not to repeat what we all know; "Cleanliness is next to Godliness".br / However, I have come to realize that everything has to do with mentality and attitude. Maintenance of infrastructure and even positions is not part of our culture as Ghanaians. What we are good at doing is making elaborate things to prove that are capable of doing "something". Ask a Ghanaian to make a proposal for a project and you would be marveled by the technological expertise with which the PowerPoint Presentation would be made and how eloquently the presentation would be given. Yet, ask for the work to be done and that is another story for another century. This attitude has led to the collapse of many industries and the deterioration of a huge percentage of the country's infrustracture. This attitude is also carried to policies that affect education, healthcare and the basic necessities that affect the layman. /span/divdiv align="justify"span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;" Maintenance just like cleanliness is an attitude that has be inculcated. It starts with developing little habits; picking up after yourself, keeping things in some form of order and not waiting for total disarray before fixing. It starts with yourself (yes maintain your body), to your room, your house, your neighborhood...br / Cleanliness is next to godliness but maintenance is what sustains cleanliness! /span/divdiv align="justify"span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;color:#000000;"/span/divspan style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"span style="color:#000000;"div align="justify"br /Link for "keep of grass": /spana href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/7853656.stm"span style="color:#000000;"news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/7853656.stm/span/a/span/divdiv align="justify"span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;color:#000000;"/span/divemspan style="font-family:times new roman;"span style="color:#000000;"span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"div align="justify"br /Disclaimer: There are a lot of generalizations in this article, it is not meant to loop everyone into these generalizations/span./span/span/em/divdiv class="blogger-post-footer"img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2514653573750022136-6700353776734400566?l=ignoramus101.blogspot.com'//div
